VERDICT

Pro page + 94% + publisher + fest ≠ distribution

Read this as a documented case and an editorial interpretation, not a controlled test of one marketing tactic. The figures describe their stated period and source. A comparable game's production budget, private sales or conversion cannot be inferred when the case does not disclose them.

Helvetii has the page of a game that should be visible: eleven screenshots, a trailer, eight languages, twenty-one achievements, DLC, Red Art publishing, multi-store. Next Fest October 2022. A demo mentioned in 2021–2022, no longer listed on 17 August 2026.

Released Friday 3 February 2023. Two patches (1.0.1 February, 1.1 December). Overwhelmingly Positive at 94%. Forty-nine reviews. Reception is not the problem.

This is a distribution hole in its pure form: everything a publisher deck sells, without the audience stock or the niche creators that move Steam. Switch press exists (Hey Poor Player). Steam did not follow.

This is not “publishers are useless”. It is: publisher + fest + page do not create the signal. That still has to be built.

Same Steam entity, different intent. The teardown is launch intelligence. The game page is what to play.
